שחקני סרטו של קווינטין טרנטינו, "ממזרים חסרי כבוד", זכו בפרס הגדול הלילה של טקס הענקת פרסי גילדת שחקני המסך (SAG) האמריקאית 2010. ג'ף ברידג'ס קטף עוד פרס על תפקידו בסרט "Crazy Heart" וסנדרה בולוק זכתה בפרס השחקנית על תפקידה "ללא ראות" (ש.ל.ר, The Blind Side).

"עג'מי" נכנס לרשימה המקוצרת של מועמדים לפרס האוסקר 2010

הסרט הישראלי "עג'מי" נכנס לרשימה המקוצרת של מועמדים לפרס האוסקר לסרט הזר הטוב ביותר, לצד "סרט לבן" הגרמני ו"נביא" הצרפתי. הרשימה המקוצרת לפרס הסרט הזר צומצמה מתוך 65 סרטים שנשלחו לאקדמיה האמריקאית לקולנוע, ותצומצם לחמישיה הסופית ב-2 בפברואר, 2010, אז גם יוכרזו שאר המועמדים לשאר הקטגוריות. סיכויו של "עג'מי" לגבור על זוכה פסטיבל קאן, "סרט לבן", אמנם אינם גבוהים מדי, אך אם כן ישתלב ברשימה הסופית של המועמדים, תהא זו השנה השלישית ברציפות שסרט ישראלי מועמד לפרס האוסקר, אחרי "בופור" (2008) ו"ואלס עם באשיר" (2009).

טקס חלוקת פרסי האוסקר 2010 (ה-82 במספר) יתקיים ביום א', 7 במארס, 2010 באולם קודאק שבהוליווד.

פרס פסטיבל פאלם ספרינגס לסרט הישראלי "עיניים פקוחות"

"עיניים פקוחות" של חיים טבקמן זכה בפרס סרט הביכורים בפסטיבל פאלם ספרינגס 2010 (ה-21 במספר). בפרס הסרט העלילתי הטוב ביותר זכה הסרט השבדי-גרמני, "הנערה עם קעקוע הדרקון" (ש.ל.ר, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo).

מנהלת התוכניה של הפסטיבל, הלן דו טויט, הגיבה על בחירתו של "עיניים פקוחות": הפסטיבל התברך ב-67 סרטים ראשונים של במאים בתוכניה שלו השנה – וכל אחד מהם יוצא דופן בדרכו שלו. באופן קולקטיבי, סרטים אלו הציגו את רצף הכישרון החדש שמפיח חיים חדשים בקולנוע העולמי, ולבחור בסרט אחד טוב או ראוי יותר מבין כולם היה אחת המשימות הקשות ביותר שניצבו בפנינו השנה."

טקס הענקת פרסי גלובוס הזהב 2010 (ה-67 במספר) נערך הלילה, הזוכים היו צפויים למדי, להוציא שתי הפתעות: רוברט דאוני ג'וניור זכה על תפקידו בסרט "שרלוק הולמס" (הפתעה קטנה), ו"בדרך לחתונה עוצרים בוגאס" זכה בפרס סרט הקומדיה/המוסיקלי הטוב ביותר (הפתעה גדולה). זכייתה של מריל סטריפ, "ג'ולי וג'וליה" מסמנת את זכייתה השביעית בפרס גלובוס הזהב, ושברה את שיא הזכיות שעמד על חצי תריסר והיה שייך לג'ק ניקולסון ולאנג'לה לנסברי. בתחום הטלויזיה, "מד מן" ("גברים של שדרות מדיסון") זכתה בפעם השלישית ברציפות על סדרת הדרמה הטובה ביותר. הנאומים היו די רגילים, וריקי ג'רוויס היה רק חביב כמנחה.

הוכרזו הזוכים בפרס אמנות הקולנוע 2009

מינהל התרבות והמועצה הישראלית לקולנוע הכריזו על הזוכים בפרס אמנות הקולנוע 2009 (ה-3 במספר), בגובה של 50 אלף ש"ח. צוות שופטים בראשותו של ראובן הקר, בחן 26 מועמדים, ובחר מתוכם את השישה הבאים: טלי שמש ("מועדון בית הקברות"), דוד בן שטרית ("מבעד לרעלת הגלות"), איתן גרין ("הכל מתחיל בים"), דוד אופק ("המנגליסטים"), ומיכל ואורי קרנות ("ליבו של עמוס קליין").

"לזוכים בפרס יש חלק נכבד בהפיכתו של ענף הקולנוע הישראלי לשגריר התרבות של ישראל," אמרה שרת התרבות והספורט, ח"כ לימור לבנת. "גובה הפרס מאפשר לזוכים להתפנות ליצירה ולכתיבה למשך זמן ממושך, ללא עול דאגות קיומיות."

גלובוס הזהב 2010: סקירת המועמדים ותחזית הזוכים לסרטי קולנוע

סרטים שלא היו מועמדים לתסריט זכו בפרס הסרט (מה שכביכול מותיר ל"אווטאר" סיכוי), אך פעם אחת בלבד זכה סרט (דרמה) מבלי להיות מועמד לבימוי (הוא "ניחוח אשה"), ומעולם לא זכה סרט שלא היה מועמד לבימוי ולתסריט (כך יורד לו "פרשס"). שלוש המועמדויות בלבד של The Hurt Locker לא מבשרות טובות בשבילו ו"ממזרים חסרי כבוד" יסתפק, כנראה, בפרס התסריט ושחקן המשנה. "אווטאר" בתלת מימד מרשים בעשייה החדשנית שלו, אך אחת הסיבות שהוא לא מועמד לתסריט היא חוסר המקוריות בסיפור שלו. "תלוי באוויר" האנושי, ללא אפקטים ודל התקציב (יחסית) יזכה, כנראה.

הוכרזו המועמדים לפרס גלובוס הזהב 2010: "תלוי באויר" מוביל מספר המועמדויות

הוכרזו המועמדים לפרסי גלובוס הזהב 2010 (ה-67 במספר), שיחולקו בטקס בהנחיית ריקי ג'רביס ב-17 בינואר, 2010. הפרס מחולק בכל שנה מאז 1944 בידי תא הכתבים הזרים היושב בלוס אנג'לס. הפרסים מחולקים לסרטים ולסדרות. רוב הסרטים – בעיקר בקטגוריות סרטי הדרמה – לא הוקרנו עדיין בארץ, ביניהם The Hurt Locker בבימויה של קת'רין ביגלו (על חיילים אמריקאים בעיראק), אשר יצא בארה"ב ביוני וזוכה ליותר הערכה מההצלחה. זוכה פרס אופיר לסרט הטוב ביותר, "עג'מי" הישראלי, לא מועמד לפרס הסרט הזר, כמו גם זוכה פסטיבל ונציה, הסרט הישראלי "לבנון".

פרסי הקולנוע האירופי 2009: "סרט לבן" הוא הזוכה הגדול

מתוך סרט לבן.

"סרט לבן" של מיכאל הנקה הוא הזוכה הגדול בפרסי הקולנוע האירופי 2009, כשקטף את שלושת הפרסים המרכזיים: לסרט, לבמאי ולתסריטאי הטובים ביותר. הזוכים הוכרזו אמש בבוכהום שבגרמניה, והמתחרה העיקרי למיכאל הנקה בקטגוריות אלו היה דני בויל עם "נער החידות ממומביי", שלא יצא בידיים ריקות וקטף את פרס חביב הקהל ופרס הצילום (פעמיים לצלם אנתוני דוד מנטלה שגם צילם וזכה על "אנטי כרייסט"). הסרט הישראלי-גרמני "עג'מי" של סכנדר קובטי וירון שני, אשר היה מועמד לפרס התגלית, הפסיד אותו ל-"קתרינה ורגה" (ש.ל.ר, Katalin Varga) של הבמאי הרומני, פיטר סטריקלנד. גם "השמצה" הישראלי שהיה מועמד לפרס התעודה, לא זכה בפרס.

פסטיבל סאנדנס 2010 חושף את המועמדים לפרסים

פסטיבל הסרטים סאנדאנס.

פסטיבל הסרטים סאנדנס 2010 יתקיים בין ה-21 ועד ה-31 בינואר, והציג בחצות הלילה את רשימת המועמדים שיתחרו אצלו על פרסים. על אף שלפסטיבל אופי אמריקאי מובהק והוא נועד לקדם את הקולנוע העצמאי האמריקאי, כן מתקיימות בו תחרויות סרטים עולמיות, ולאחת מהן השתרבב סרט התעודה הישראלי-גרמני, "סרט לא גמור" (A Film Unfinished) של יעל הרסונסקי, החושף את האמצעים שנדרשו לנאצים על מנת לביים את החיים בגטו ורשה, בזמן השואה.

• "Sins of My Father" (Argentina-Colombia) – Directed by Nicolas Entel, which delves into the life and times of Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar through the eyes of his son, who fled Colombia to lead his own life. North American premiere.
• "Space Tourists" (Switzerland) – Directed by Christian Frei, a humorous look at billionaires who pay large sums to travel into outer space for fun. North American premiere.
• "Waste Land" (U.K.) – Directed by Lucy Walker, which reveals how lives are transformed when international artist Vik Muniz collaborates with garbage picker in the world's largest landfill in Rio de Janeiro. World premiere.

פסטיבל דוקאביב 2010 פותח את ההרשמה לתחרויות הסרטים

פסטיבל "דוקאביב" הבין-לאומי לקולנוע תיעודי 2010 (ה-12 במספר), פותח את ההרשמה לתחרות הסרטים הישראלית בו. בנוסף לתחרות הישראלית, תתקימנה בפסטיבל שלוש מסגרות תחרותיות נושאות פרסים נוספות: תחרות בין-לאומית, תחרות סטודנטים (הגשה דרך האוניברסיטאות) ותחרות יצירה צעירה בין מגמות הקולנוע בבתי הספר התיכוניים בארץ.

ההרשמה לתחרות הישראלית פתוחה עד ה-15 בינואר, 2010. תקנון הפסטיבל וטופס ההרשמה נמצאים באתר הרשמי, בלחיצה כאן. במסגרת תחרות זו יחולקו כמדי שנה, פרס הסרט הטוב ביותר, הצילום, העריכה, ציון לשבח ופרס ראש עירית תל אביב-יפו ליוצר צעיר ומבטיח.

פסטיבל דוקאביב 2010 יתקיים השנה בין ה-6 ל-15 במאי, 2010.

"עג'מי" זכה בפסטיבל סלוניקי

הסרט הישראלי "עג'מי" זכה בפרס הראשי של פסטיבל סלוניקי לסרטים: פרס "אלכסנדר הגדול" לסרט הטוב ביותר, על סך 40 אלף יורו. סרטם של סכנדר קובטי וירון שני גם זכה בפרס בחירת הקהל, ובפרס התסריט הטוב ביותר, אותו חלקו עם יוצר הסרט הרומני "מדלית כבוד" (ש.ל.ר, Medal of Honor) שגם גרף את הפרס השני לסרט הטוב ביותר (פרס "אלכסנדר הכסף").

ראוי להזכיר כי פסטיבל סלוניקי נערך השנה בסימן חרם מבית: יוצרי קולנוע רבים ביוון החליטו להחרימו וקראו לבטל אותו דווקא ביום הולדתו החמישים, ובמקום להכריז על אבל לאומי על הקולנוע המקומי אשר אינו נתמך בידי הממשלה.

הסרט הישראלי "קרבת דם" יתחרה בקטגורית הסרטים התיעודיים באורך מלא של פסטיבל סרטי התעודה IDFA 2009 (ה-22 במספר) שיפתח ב-19 בנובמבר, באמסטרדם. הסרט מגולל את התחקותה של במאית הסרט, נעה בן הגיא, אחר קורותיה של אחות-סבתה, אשר נישאה למוסלמי וילדה לו שמונה ילדים במחנה פליטים, על רקע מלחמת ששת הימים.

הסרט הישראלי "גוגל בייבי" של ציפי ברנד פרנק, יוקרן במסגרת 'בלתי שגרתי'; הסרט "סייד קשוע פחדן מלידה" של דורית צימבליסט, יוקרן במסגרת Mid Length Competition; ו"השמצה" של יואב שמיר, יוקרן במסגרת 'תמונות משתקפות: מאסטרים'. כמו כן, יוקרן גם הסרט-הלא-גמור "סיפור קפקאי" של שגיא בורשטיין, בפורום הפיצ'ינג במטרה למשוך משקיעים נוספים להמשך העבודה על הסרט.
